As a legal adviser
at this real-estate company I had to revise, manage and improve all
the
contracts with clients (both owners and buyers). I often visited properties and
spoke
to clients,
explaining them the meaning of the clauses and convincing them to sign. I
practically
had immediate feedback over my work. This way I could improve the contracts,
so they
could both protect the company's interests and provide safe, non-abusive
conditions
for the
client. I learned that contracts are made by the people for the people and for
this,
I must
always keep the sense of reality when applying law concepts to the clauses. A
perfect
contract for one side will never be signed by the other party, unless the
latter
is in
desperate need. When this happens, there is no balance, and therefore no trust.
No trust
leads to a short business realationship with no or very few recommendations
to other
potential clients.
MINI
INTERVIEW :
Which
was your biggest professional achievement?
In September
last year I was given 94 case files to solve (all of the same plaintiff),
because
I was
the person they trusted to have excellent organizing skills. Between then and
now,
there
have been deadlines, lots of papers to be analyzed, a lot of research to be
made,
more
than 200 papers of evidence to be prepared for each and not to mention every
court
term I had to prepare and go to. This experience has taught me that I am
stronger
than I
thought I was, that my limits are far from being reached. In all these files,
not a
single
paper was lost, misplaced or not done in time.
